Jay Z Announces Blueprint 3 tour

The biggest star in hip hop has announced a 2009 tour scheduled for the fall of 2009 with 21 confirmed dates and more likely on the way. As one of the biggest stars on the planet, Jay Z tickets have been on the tips of hip hop circles for weeks now. Add to the stature of Jay Z the fact that he will be promoting his latest album the Blueprint 3 and the Jay Z tour should be one of the biggest of the year. The Blueprint 3 tour features dates at colleges across the country as well as several traditional venues in the US, UK and Canada. Some of the highlights of the Jay Z tour include a show at MSG, Seattle’s Key Arena, Montreal, Austin, the University of Illinois and more. There have been 21 dates confirmed in addition to several previously-announced tours, including the Jay Z September 11 concert to benefit the 911 families. The Answer the Call benefit concert is happening at Madison Square Garden on September 11th. Other upcoming Jay Z shows include a concert in Manchester U.K. with Coldplay on September 12th. Jay Z will also be performing at the Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on September 13th. Jay Z was a busy man before he announced the new tour dates, and he will be performing at the premiere show for Jay Leno on September 14th in Los Angeles. After that he has another three shows in the U.K. with Coldplay and another by himself.

D12 heads out on Dazed & Dirty Tour with Potluck

Good news for hip hop fans around the country because the D12 tour is coming your way. With just about 40 stops along the D12 tour you’ve got a great chance to see these guys live. There haven’t been tons of good hip hop tours this summer so there should be a lot of fans looking for D12 tickets to see these guys in action.

Humboldt County hip-hop duo Potluck is along for the ride in what is being called the Dazed & Dirty Tour. The D12 tour kicks off in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 16th, runs through September with the Dazed & Dirty Tour ending, appropriately, in D12s hometown of Detroit, Michigan on September 26th. Make sure you get your concert tickets for D12 to see what what should be one of the biggest hip hop tours in a long time.

“This tour will be a grand celebration for all who come to the show and party with us,’ says Potluck’s 1 Ton. “D12 has been putting it down on the underground way before they got a chance to take it to the next level so I think it will be a good match. You take their style and combine it with our Pothead hip-hop fans and it should be a great time.”

D12, AKA the Dirty Dozen, includes members Bizarre, Eminem, Kon Artis, Kuniva and Swift. Their name originally comes from the fact that the six members have split personalities, like Eminem’s Slim Shady alter ego. Their debut album was 2001’s “Devil’s Night,” followed up by “D12 World.” Both albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. The D12 tour is the first time the Detroit based group will since Proof, a founding member, passed away.

Potluck, known as the hip-hop royalty of Humboldt, California is known for their unique rhyming style. They self-released a number of albums before signing with Suburban Noize Records, with whom they released “Pipe Dreams”. With the album Potluck has become one of the rising stars in hip hop, working with hip hop acts like Jurassic 5, E-40, Tech N9ne and C-Clan.
