Both artists are pumped for the union, and said they are looking forward to the performances. “This will be a major moment in music history,” 50 Cent said in the MTV 50 Cent interview. “Joining forces with Fall Out Boy, one of the most dynamic rock bands in the industry, will be an exciting and historic event for rock and hip-hop,” said 50.
And the Fall Out Boys are excited too. “We’ve been fans of 50 since we heard ‘Wanksta’ in ‘8 Mile,’” said Fall Out Boy bassist/vocalist Pete Wentz in the MTV interview. “We’ve wanted to do something with him for awhile, and having him out on the tour is gonna take the show to a whole new level. It’s exciting to bring two different genres together and give the fans a new experience,” he said.
In other Fiddy news, fans are anticipating his fourth album, “Before I Self Destruct,” which is scheduled for a spring release. Fifty has also said he want to release a second album in 2009. And that 50 Cent album won’t be the only album being dropped under the Shady-Aftermath label. Hip Hop fans are well aware that Eminem and Dr. Dre are both working on their first albums in ages. Eminem’s album is title “Relapse,” while Dre is working on the long-anticipated “Detox” album. As far as a full hip hop show schedule for Shady Aftermath, nothing has been announced.
